Wondering what to do on a Saturday afternoon?
WIND QUARTETS THROUGH THE AGES, on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2:00pm, will take you on a journey of woodwind repertoire through the ages and sweep you away with exhilarating music from the Renaissance to the 20th century, anchored around the whimsical Francaix Quartet. Alyssa Greengrass - Flute, Eric Umble - Clarinet, Ellen Hindson - Oboe, Allison Nicotera - Bassoon.
Interested in local wildlife?
Then join us for the BIRDS OF PREY lecture on Saturday, October 29, 2:00pm. See live animals from Quogue Wildlife Refuge including a red tailed hawk, amazing owls, and other birds of prey. Learn about native species and how people can help protect our wildlife. Call 631.734.6360 to register for this event.
Have you visited the Upstairs Gallery lately?
The Gallery has all new comfortable seating areas and a self-service coffee bar. Through the end of October, check out the art show This Land is Your Land: America the Beautiful by artist Pat Feiler.
Looking for a safe place to trick-or-treat?
Stop by the Library on HALLOWEEN to see the staff dressed in costumes and have your children visit each Library department for a special trick-or-treat prize!
How about meeting an author?
We have two book talks coming up – Ken McGorry, author of GHOST HAMPTON will be here Wednesday, Oct. 26, 6:30pm and author Regina Calcaterra along with her sister Rosie (via Skype) will talk about their book GIRL UNBROKEN on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 2:00pm. Registration is requested for these events.
